Nonprofits thrive in Marin, new study says - Marin Independent Journal

Nonprofits thrive in Marin, new study says - Marin Independent Journal: "A NEW STUDY of the county's 1,730 nonprofit organizations reveals that nonprofits are big business in Marin.

The study, commissioned by the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership in San Rafael, found that for every 1,000 people, Marin has about seven nonprofit organizations. That is a higher ratio of people-to-nonprofits than exists in San Francisco, the Bay Area or the state of California."
