Survey shows Czechs are generous charitable donors | Prague Monitor: Czechs are quite generous donors and in 2012 every Czech gave 583 crowns on average to charity, but they prefer giving money for concrete purposes and knowing all details, the daily Pravo writes Tuesday.

However, a poll conducted by the SOS Children's Villages NGO shows that only 7 percent of donors contribute regularly.

Young people are a rare sight on charity boards in England and Wales, with 16-24s accounting for just 0.5% of trustees, according to the Charity Commission report A Breath of Fresh Air (2010), posing serious questions about diversity and representativeness. What is more, a Governance Hub and OPM 2006 survey of English trustees and charities suggested that almost half of charities had difficulty filling trustee roles.[1]

The Blackbaud Index today reported that overall charitable giving increased 1.8% and online giving increased 14.5% for the three months ending July 2013 as compared to the same period in 2012. As reported in the Charitable Giving Report, overall giving grew approximately 2% for the full year 2012 and online giving grew by about 11% in 2012 compared to 2011.

Louisiana nonprofit compensation report tracks salary trends statewide | WWNO: A new report from the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations (LANO) compiled salary and benefit ranges for more than 100 nonprofit jobs in the state. LANO produced the 115-page report with statistical analysis from Columbia Books. LANO vice president Matt Mullenix said the purpose is to provide the state’s nonprofit boards, employees and donors with the most up-to-date compensation data to inform budgeting and staffing.
