Minority ethnic groups need help to retain important buildings, report concludes | Third Sector: "Black, Asian and minority ethnic community groups need more support to help them retain buildings that are of importance to communities, according to a new report.
The report, called A Place to Call Home, has been produced by the community group membership body Locality and the Ubele Initiative, a not-for-profit organisation that supports the African diaspora community – descendants of people originally from Africa. "

Female charity staff twice as likely as men to work part-time, report says | Third Sector
Female charity staff twice as likely as men to work part-time, report says | Third Sector: "he People Count Third Sector 2015 report, produced by the research company Agenda Consulting, is based on a survey of 73 organisations that collectively employ 60,000 staff.
It says that 33 per cent of those working in the third sector are employed in part-time roles. This is a rise of five percentage points on last year’s study and 13 percentage points higher than the figure for the UK workforce as a whole."

NEWS: Telling people what others haven’t done is more effective at encouraging them to consider a charitable bequest | Critical Fundraising: "In a split test of charity supporters, those who were told that fewer of a charity’s supporters had made a will were more likely to at least consider leaving a legacy than those who were told that more supporters had already done so.
In the experiment conducted with donors managed by Listen, supporters were given one of two statements:
1/3 of our most loyal supporters haven’t made a will. Many of them are taking advantage of the Will Aid scheme
2/3 of our most loyal supporters have made a will. Many of them took advantage of the Will Aid scheme."
